02 Aug Caring for your Chopping Board
When it comes to ensuring your hardwood chopping boards live a long, happy and hygienic life, all you need to do is follow our easy-care instructions:
- Always hand wash your boards. Never clean them in the dishwasher.
- Don’t soak your cutting boards. Wipe them down after each use with a dishcloth soaked in warm soapy water and air dry them completely before storing.
- You can keep your boards in top condition by applying a thin coat of food-safe Grapeseed oil and polish off with a clean dry cloth.
- During winter, your boards will need some extra care and attention. When the air is cool and dry, and particularly if your home is heated, we recommend you wipe your boards over with a thin coat of grapeseed oil and polish off if your boards appear dry (as often as once a week if needed).
