Oiling & Conditioning:
To maintain the wood’s integrity and prevent drying or cracking, regular oiling is essential.
✔ How Often? Oil your board at least once a month—or whenever the surface starts to look dry.
✔ What to Use? Apply food-grade mineral oil, a cutting board conditioning wax or just pain old grape seed oil works well. Avoid vegetable or olive oils, as they can turn rancid over time.
✔ How to Apply?
- Use a clean, lint-free cloth to apply a generous coat of oil to the entire board (front, back, and edges).
- Let the oil soak in for a few hours or overnight.
- Wipe off any excess oil with a dry cloth before use.
